Review: Kenzoamour le Parfum

Kenzoamour le Parfum ($65) is a woody oriental that combines the richness of benzoin balm and amber and the softness of frangipani blossom and vanilla. First I want to say that I am not a big fan of vanilla, so that was an immediate turn-off. I will say that as the day went on the woodiness became more acceptable, but then it completely wore off. Maybe it's just my body chemistry that doesn't mesh with it. But the bottle is pretty cool looking. Which makes me want to keep trying it until I like it. Bottom line, it's just okay, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it but I wouldn't steer you away from it either. So, we'll see.

Designed by Japanese sneaker boutique Chapter World, The Reebok Pump Omni - “Chapter Limited” was created in three colorways: Brown/Green (orange shoelaces), Grey/Black (yellow shoelaces), and Blue/White. The Brown/Green colorway seems very outdoor-inspired. Nevertheless it possesses the color scheme perfect for the winter seasons. The other two pair seem more subtle yet still very stylish. Actress Hayden Panettiere, star of hit series Heroes, introduces her signature Hayden Clutch designed by the actress today, December 1, 2008. The bags are available at Dooney and Bourke New York, Las Vegas, Dallas, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Costa Mesa, White Plains, Old San Juan, Japan, and Macau. The Dooney and Bourke spokes-model was given the opportunity of a lifetime to create her dream bag with Peter Dooney. The Hayden Clutch is fashioned from Italian calfskin with a 24 carat gold plated lion head closure, inspired by her astrological sign, Leo. It has a fully lined interior, outside back pocket and is available in black, white, red, royal blue, hot pink and purple. The clutch retails for $295 and is available exclusively at Dooney and Bourke stores nationwide during the month of December.

Uh, generally we laugh at attempts by actresses to 'design' bags but in this case, I have to say not bad! Maybe I'm biased towards Leos but the logo is not totally obtrusive and the fun colors are making me excited for the holidays. I am loving the blue and red and am looking forward to seeing the hot pink. I love the price point as well, $295 is reasonable for Italian calfskin with 24 carat gold plated hardware. I've never been into Dooney and Burke-- too conservative for me; but this collection may just change my mind. What about you, what do you think of the Hayden clutch?

Air Jordan Retro 1 - Vivid Blue/Black

To many sneaker heads liking, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap hit retailers one week ago. We have now spotted a vivid blue/black colorway of the Air Jordan 1. Unfortunately, this specific colorway is limited to only Girls GS (Grade School).

The vivid blue color is located on toe box, swoosh, and heel. The most interesting feature on this sneaker is the colorful pattern design on the inside of the sneaker’s collar. I think I am getting more monotone in my outfit selections as I get older. I used to like to wear super-fun, uber-colorful clothes, but lean towards classic silhouettes in basic colors, nowadays. I can't help but love this classy-chic look Katie Holmes sported recently:

I wish I could get a better look at the dress because it looks to have some detailing near the top. Either way, I like how Katie plays up the simple black & white ensemble with some patterned pumps. I also love the double-skinny-strap belt she has cinching in the cardi. Very chic, Katie!
