‘See a shoe and Pick it up and all day long you’ll have Good Luck,’ said Andy Warhol half a century ago. I would have never associated Andy Warhol with shoes but the real fact is that before he became a pop art phenom, Warhol was a shoe illustrator living on Lexington Avenue. Bond No. 9 created a series of fragrances to celebrate the artist's 80th birthday. Andy Warhol Lexington Avenue is nostalgic scent that channels the sensuality of shoes and the artist's pre-Pop years of the 1950s.
Andy Warhol Lexington Avenue's scent is the equivalent of slipping into a pair of great fitting black Christian Louboutin Pigalle's for a night on the town with the girls. A sensual blend of floral woody chypre and gourmand notes such as almond and creme brulee, Andy Warhol on Lexington Avenue takes you into a Warholian fantasy.
For this season, Bond No. 9 has created limited edition bottles of the Andy Warhol Lexington Avenue adorned with Robert Lee Morris-designed sterling silver shoes pendants of Warhol's designs. For more information : www.bondno9.com

Lagerfeld Unveils Limited Edition Chanel Coins
Karl's done it again. First it was the release of a teddy bear in his likeness but now Karl Lagerfeld has taken it a step further - in the right direction - with a limited edition release of Chanel coins.
The coins, which go on sale on December 1, 2008, have been produced to commemorate the 125th birthday celebration of Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel and feature a portrait of Chanel on one side and the number 5 on the other.
Two silver and two gold coins in denominations of five euros to celebrate Chanel's best selling perfume, Chanel No. 5. Want to get your hands of one of these coins, well it's going to cost you a pretty euro. The set of four coins will be selling for $5,900 euros or $7,600 dollars.
Sure it's expensive but if you are a Chanel lover or know of one, this will be the ultimate Christmas present. There will be only 11,099 coins available and once they're gone, they're gone!

African Inspired Accessories for Spring at Phillip Lim
It was all about texture, frills and prints at 3.1 Phillip Lim. If Lim's designs are predictors of what's to come for Spring 2009, sign me up. Lim's African-inspired collection takes us to North Africa where Moorish influences are especially evident in accessories. From chunky textured bracelets and ribbon adorned necklace to snakeskin and suede fringe Christian Louboutin's the sphere of influence Africa has had on fashion in the past three season's is going strong. Spring is not all rustic, Lim balanced out masculine elements in his collection with feminine ruffles and fringe on dresses and shoes. Master shoe designer Christian Louboutin partnered with Lim to create luscious shoes in mouth watering tropical and metallic colors for the spring collection.

Lust List: Chrissie Morris Gladiator Wedges
On my lust list for today is this swoon-worthy platform gladiator wedge heel by Chrissie Morris. What's not the love about these shoes? The black sequin on the wedge is fun and flirty. The suede cutout, lace-up is simply sexy. These shoes are over $1,000 but worth the splurge if you have the cash.
I am dreaming of wearing these on a night out on the town in South Beach. These shoes would be perfect for a breezy floral top, tailored shorts and fun accessories.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Whitney Port stars in Hills Spin-off show called "The City"
The Hills' Whitney Port has moved out of Lauren Conrad's shadow and into the limelight in a spin off show call "The City." On the new show airing December 29, Whitney has moved from Los Angeles to the Big Apple to work for fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg. There are whole slew of interesting characters, some already looking like drama queens and potential doormats. The trailer is enticing enough that I am going to tune in to watch the show. Whitney sure is getting busy in New York. She's torn between two boys and is launching a clothing line as well. Busy bee.
In other Whitney Port news, the reality star just started her own blog, http://whitneyport.celebuzz.com. Get to know her a little better in her video blogs and commentaries on fashion and living in New York City. She is also busy promoting her new fashion line Whitney Eve. Stay tuned for pictures of the collection, which is surprisingly good.

Matthew Williamson for H&M to Launch in the Spring

“It is an incredible opportunity to be working with H&M, creating a ‘Matthew Williamson for H&M’ capsule collection. I love the fact that H&M have created a new phenomenon in fashion through the pioneering concept of collaborating with high-end designers to create one-off limited edition capsule collections. I am thrilled that my creations for H&M will be accessible to and hopefully enjoyed by so many people around the world," Matthew Williamson
Dear H&M,
Ever since I discovered you in high school, I haven't been able to stay away from you. What makes me keep coming back to you time after time is your ability to give me what I want. You've been with me when I was broke and have kept me looking fabulous through today. You gave me the edginess of Karl Lagerfeld, the sexiness of Roberto Cavalli, the eclectic pizazz of Comme des Garcons and now you are bringing me Matthew Williamson.
It seems as though you are a mind reader. You provide me with my fix of designers. Ones I could normally not be able to afford on my meager salary. So thank you. Thank so much for making the most genius and artistically innovative designers available to girls like me. I can't wait for Matthew Williamson's collection for H&M. I will be standing in the line bright and early on April 23, 2009 ready to snag every piece in the collection. I will no doubt buy your pieces from the summer collection as well because I covet the resort collection each and every year. Please H&M, if this is a dream don't wake me up.
Love,
Makeda

Sarah Jessica Parker looking for a new home for Bitten
Sarah Jessica Parker is looking for a new home for her Bitten clothing line. The star originally partnered with Steve & Barry's to produce an affordable collection of classic and trendy pieces for the masses. Since the launch of Bitten, Steve & Barry's has filed for two bankruptcies, the last as early as this month. SJP wants to keep the concept of the clothing line intact and is looking for a producer that will be able to keep the quality of the line top notch while offering it at an affordable price.
"We have to make sure that any partner we enter into an agreement with wants the same thing for the brand as we do, which is to serve the customer first. You know, it can’t be about commerce, it has to be about the customer, and we have to see who’s really willing to be that generous. Now, more than ever, people need all things that are about economy. So I want very much to continue it in the right way. So we just have to figure out what’s right for the customer, and how to do it in these economic times,” said Sarah Jessica Parker at the New York City Ballet's opening celebration.

Congratulations to model Jourdan Dunn for winning the Model of the Year award by British Fashion Council. Jourdan beat catwalk wild child Agyness Deyn for the coveted title. Kudos to Jourdan who is being touted as the next Naomi Campbell or Tyra Banks.

Bond Girl shows her tough side in corn rows
Showing up to an event with corn rows in your hair is a faux pas, unless you are Olga Kurylenko, the newest Bond girl. Olga showed up to the Tokyo premiere of Quantum of Solace messy cornrows but softened the look with a black satin ribbon. The Ukranian beauty was all smiles as she comfortably posed for photos in her black Chanel frock and diamond sparklers adorning her ears.

'Tis the season for love, giving and shopping and luxury brands found the solution to kill three birds with one stone. Many designers are offering clothing, accessories and jewelry where proceeds from buying one of these products goes to charity.

“The work that UNICEF does in the world is so incredible,” she says. “And I am honored to be able to join forces with Gucci to create this amazing campaign which will contribute to UNICEF. I think the campaign and the sales of these beautiful products can make the difference.”

Ginette NYC Jewelry
Gold is the metal of the season and has been for a while. With the value of most things dropping, it should be assuring to know that the value of gold is still strong. Gold accessories have been underutilized for a while because some might think it too fancy or "not their color." A little bit of gold added to an outfit instantly amps up the sophisticate-factor and takes a drab outfit to fab with little to no effort.
Ginette NYC has been creating beautiful jewelry for the past couple of seasons and this fall is back with an outstanding gold collection for fans of this precious metal and those looking to start collecting. Ginette NYC's contemporary designs are so delicate and have minute details that are both dainty and edgy. Hearts will flutter in the Ginette NYC Petal Be Mine studs or necklace. Leaf and monogram necklaces are part of Ginette NYC's collection for fall 20008. Washingtonians can be gilted at Sassanova where many of the the designer's pieces are being sold.
