Tony Snow who was the Ex-Bush press secretary has sadly died of colon cancer at the age of just 52, he died at 2 a.m. Eastern time in Georgetown University Hospital. Many will remember that Snow used to be chief speechwriter for George Bush; he was also a frequent radio talk-show host.
Back in September 2007, Snow decided to retire after 17 years in the White House; he stated that as he was going through his cancer, he needed to earn more for his family than his job which paid $$168,000.
In a statement issued from Camp David, President Bush has said that he and his wife Laura were “Deeply Saddened.” Bush also added “America has lost a devoted public servant and a man of character; it was a joy to watch Tony at the podium each day. He brought wit, grace, and a great love of country to his work.”
Tony Snow was a great man and did not let his battle with cancer get him down; many will remember how cheerful he remained even after his draining chemotherapy treatments. Snow was a well liked and respected man, in both the White House and in the radio studios.
We would like to offer our deepest sympathies to Tony Snow’s family and friends
