Jay McCarroll's Eleven Minutes
2008-03-20 16:26:11 by HASH0x8b794e0 in LONE STAR VERVE

Acid-tongued Jay McCarroll was hailed as "the next great American designer" after winning season two of Bravo's “Project Runway.” Two years later, McCarroll still hasn't made it to top but he's is the subject of a new documentary, "Jay McCarroll: Eleven Minutes," by directors Michael Selditch and Rob Tate which takes an in-depth look at all the hard work it takes to get a new fashion line to the catwalk.

Chronicling the designer's bumpy ride since "Project Runway” to his first independent runway show for New York’s Fashion Week in 2006, the film shows the struggles to balance his creativity with commercialism and getting his collection ready in time for Fashion Week. McCarroll describes the documentary as "painfully raw and humorous." If the "Runway” winner is as funny and endearing as he was on television, we are so there.
