GIRL TALK is bringing his dance party mayhem to Florida this week with stops in Tallahassee, Gainesville, Orlando, Tampa and Miami!!

Girl Talk is the pseudonym of producer/remixer/(I'm not a) DJ Gregg Gillis. He's a Pittsburgh native who worked as a biomedical research engineer and now focuses on music and tours non-stop. Gregg is an intense live performer also known for his tendency to strip down to his underwear on-stage while dancing circles around his laptop and DJ setup.



The GIRL TALK project began with Gillis tearing apart mainstream music using digital signal processing (DSP) and piecing the songs back together into a completely new song. His tracks are non-stop transitions and combinations of the coolest songs and the rhythm never misses a beat. It's a really unique art to be able to combine that many songs into one cohesive piece. His last album called Night Ripper sampled over 150 artists (translation: the thank you list in his liner notes was really long). Check out the ones that he's posted on his myspace page.



His last release Night Ripper "bangs as a continuous mix packed with current hip hop hits, soft rock radio standards, party classics, grunge masterpieces, R&B singles, glossy club-shakers, and rock anthems are all layered and pieced meticulously together into one non-stop celebration of pop and excess. Basically, if you go to all of the Girl Talk shows in Florida, you'll get to see five out of the seven pairs of Gregg's days-of-the-week underwear... haha
