Gene Simmons, through his lawyers, has issued a legal request to stop the distribution of a video tape on a web site. The video shows Simmons with a girl, who is not his girlfriend Shannon Tweed, and according to Simmons the tape is old. Simmon’s lawyers claim the site had no right to use face paint to promote the skin flick, because the face paint is a KISS copyright. Simmons has also revealed he found out about the video tape several years ago, and purchased the copyright to it. The tape came out just as Simmons reality show hit the airwaves again. The unknown in this case is how the website owner was able to obtain a copy of the video tape, since it was in Gene Simmons possession. It almost seems like the two were working together to help bring more attention to the Simmon’s reality show.
